G’day Fellow Lawn Porn Community, Long time follower first time contributor! I have a property in Ballarat, Victoria. It snowed three times at our house last winter – so it gets cold. Summers are a ‘little’ milder than Melbourne but still gets hot. I’m looking for some recommendations for a lawn seed for a ~10m2 area that I’m wanting to plant. I’m going to rotary hoe the existing soil after removing the existing ‘weeds’, put in some compost, fertiliser and irrigation etc. I love the “Golf Green” look and was wondering whether Bentgrass Pencross might be suitable or some other alternative? The area gets a good portion of full sun throughout the day and then gets shaded by the roof line of the house after ~3pm. The lawn is oriented east-west and won’t get too much abuse. I know Bentgrass Pencross is high maintenance and that aspect doesn’t scare me off.
Any thoughts/recommendations?
Cheers
Dan
